Summary of the interview
Zhou Huan, Chairman of TD-SCDMA Forum: One step away from
success
I believe that under the leadership of government, TD-SCDMA will
embrace its success as China Mobile is designated to run this technology
in China¡¯s 3G market. We should further strengthen high-level organizational
leadership and measures, and offer favorable policies TD-SCDMA so
that the TD environment will be further improved. We just need to
keep the momentum! |
Zhou Huan£º
3G's future success does not depend on 3G technology itself, but
on the service innovations and our ability to offer the various
services attractive to the common people.
10 years ago, TD-SCDMA only had one enterprise to support. Now
it is the effort and desire of whole country. The development
of TD-SCDMA is now entering a new stage.
Wang Jing, Secretary General of TD-SCDMA Forum:
Chip and mobile phone enterprises need to accelerate the speed
of product development. Network operators need to expand the network
layout, and truly promote the rapid development of TD -SCDMA.
We urge multinational tier one chipset and terminal vendors to
strengthen the TD-SCDMA supply chain.
Wu Ping, CEO of Spreadtrum:
TD is a good 3 G network. The key is how you utilize it. We Chinese
people can do a lot of cool things via this network. Chinese people
love entertainment, whether it is movies, novels, television or
chat, and more other things, TD network in China can do so much
more than the rest of the world's 3G network. |
