"TD-SCDMA Evolution and LTE Summit Shanghai 2008¡±
Adrian Scrase from 3GPP £ºIn
the next 18 months, we will further optimize the standard. We
believed that with such optimization, LTE will become a high standard
by 3GPP, and stride forward 4G¡£
Zeng Xudong, Vice-President of Nortel: Nortel, as a part of the
ecological chain for supporting TDD and LTE development, are seeking
partners actively to jointly work on innovations and standards,
and the lab testing for future technologies as well. We will do
our part to build a telecom ¡°Great Wall¡±.
Cao Qiang Vice-President of Spreadtrum:
We hope the government can introduce some policies such as allocation
of spectrum as soon as possible, so the regulation can be abreast
of the industrial development planning and manufacturers¡¯ product
roadmap.
Asimakis Kokkos, Director of Strategy and Technology

starting point of our work. Operators will feel the pressure,
and they will pass it to the manufacturers. To solve it, we should
all pay attention to user requirements, and maintain a good communication.
Duan Jun, Director of Wireless Technology from
Alcatel-Lucent: Next-generation
wireless mobile communication systems provide a foundation for
the high volume of packet data services. The market progress of
LTE deployment may be faster than the progress from analog to
