Planet TD-SCDMA is an excellence achieved by joint R&D efforts between Marconi Wireless and a leading TD-SCDMA vendor, being able to fully support the planning and simulation of TSM and LCR. Its advanced simulation features cover link performance per carrier per time slot; fixed beam and fully adaptive beam smart antenna; joint detection; dynamic channel allocation and 1 x 3 frequency re-use.

Marconi Wireless has made a breakthrough in creating an innovative and future-safe planning platform - Planet EV. The new platform is deployed on .NET and C#, leading to easy integration of third-party application and new algorithm. It is based on Widows 2000/XP, and boasts an easy-to-learn and intuitive project explorer. It bundles the latest version of MapInfo, enabling the import/export, display and analysis of 3D planning and geo data on this industry leading GIS platform. Planet EV realizes the implementation of wireless planning and optimization on one single platform, it supports operational data integration ( traffic, survey data, dropped call, and blocking etc.) by allowing users to directly import data in Excel or text format. The flexible floating/standalone licensing scheme and centralized planning data sharing maximize the utilization of license and enterprise-wide planning data.
