TD-SCDMA Industrialization Promoting Workgroup Meeting Held in Beijing

TD-SCDMA Industrialization Promoting Workgroup Meeting was held in Beijing on Jun.14th,2002. Managers from domestic manufacturers such as ZTE, Bird, Eastcom, Julong, PTIC, Capitel and Konka attended the meeting.
Mr.Tang Ru'an, Vice President of Datang made the opening speech for the meeting. Mr.Tang said, Datang is seeking comprehensive cooperation with the industry players of TD-SCDMA technology. Many domestic manufacturers are cooperating with Datang or showing great interesting to TD-SCDMA. With the active participation of these important manufacturers, China's 3G industry definitely will have a bright future.
The topics of the meeting included basic introduction of TD-SCDMA, the R&D status of TD-SCDMA UE and market forecast & operating advantages analyse on TD-SCDMA. It's analysed that the market of TD-SCDMA will reach up to RMB 100 billion yuan between 2003 to 2005 in China, while the international market will reach up to $100 billion.
The delegates watched the live demo of TD-SCDMA and also visited the system integration trial lab.
