TD-SCDMA Forum delivered a TD-SCDMA technology training program on Jan. 22nd -25th , 2008. Personnel from technical and marketing & sales departments of China Mobile R&D Institution, China Mobile Zhuhai Branch, Yangjiang Mobile, China Mobile R&D Institution Chongqing and Heilongjiang Branch, Chongqing IT Design Co. Ltd, Motorola, Ericsson, Dopod, Eastcompeace, Oriental Telecom etc. attended.

In the large scale TD network trails, TD wireless technology, network deployment technology and network performances had been fully tested for commercial use. The training program tapped the ongoing TD-SCDMA trials and explored issues of the TD-SCDMA basic theories, TD key technologies, network deployment strategy, network planning and optimization etc. it helped trainees get an in-depth understanding of TD technology and related issues. TD Forum invited telecom industry experts to deliver the courses.

Training is one of the core business of TD Forum, in the future, TD Forum plans to team up with telecom standard research bodies, testing and measurement bodies, and major industry players to deliver other training courses, focusing on 3G mobile communication technology, e.g. TD-SCDMA core technology and network deployment, network planning and optimization, terminal development and testing, enhanced technology and LTE, etc.
