| On June 7-9, TD Forum hosted a seminar on TD-SCDMA Service
and Evolution in Guangxi.
Nearly 60 delegates from TD Forum member organizations
and relative regulatory organizations attended the seminar.
They are from telecom regulatory organizations (MII, CATR),
operators (China Mobile, China Netcom, China Telecom, France
Telecom), major industrial companies and related organizations
(Datang Mobile, T3G, Shanghai Bell Alcatel, Huawei, NSN, UT
Starcom, Qualcomm, TCL, TD Tech, ADI, LG Electronics, Samsung,
Ericsson, Intel, NXP, Koretide, CYIT, Konka, MCCI, MediaTek,

The seminar aimed to facilitate in-depth communications between
vendors and telecom carriers as well as to explore the ongoing
TD trials and 3G business model, in an effort to better prepare
for TD-SCDMA commercial deployment. Interactions and Q&A
mainly focused on three topics, namely telecom carriers¡¯ demand,
software and hardware to guarantee 3G commercial deployment,
3G evolution and TD-SCDMA enhanced technologies. (Please contact

In addition, TD Forum created casual outdoor communication
opportunities for delegates. Such as activities hosted in boats
on the 2 rivers and 4 lakes, yachts on Lijiang River in foggy
Yangshuo; firework party at Sun and Moon Pagoda, as well as

in Yangshuo, etc.

TD-Forum will go on to host ¡°TD Forum-Lijiang Cup¡± Photography
Competition. Delegates may send their photos taken during the
trip to TD Forum (in any format) before June 30. We will invite
senior photography critics, Director Dai Minghua (Zhou Guangzhao¡¯s
secretary) to comment the works. Besides, comments on the works
will be collected on our website. TD Forum will grant awards
to winners. In addition, we will launch a special column on
