¡°NEW Technology NEW Solution NEW Choice¡ªTD-SCDMA GLOBAL WORKSHOP
-ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006¡±, co-organized by TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance
and TD-SCDMA Forum, was held on Dec. 4, 2006 in Hong Kong. More
than 200 representatives from Chinese and overseas telecom operators,
telecom equipment manufacturers and financial and investment institutions
attended this seminar. Guest speakers included Mr. Wang Jianzhang,
director general of MII Department of Planning and Mr. Wu Hao,
director from NDRC Department of High and New Technology Industrialization.
The seminar is chaired by Dr. Jing Wang, secretary general of
TD-SCDMA Forum. Mr. Zhu Gaofeng, director general of China Communications
Standard Association and Mr. Zhao Houlin, vice secretary general
of International Telecommunication Union addressed their remarks
and expressed their confidence towards TD-SCDMA further development
and commercialization.
Industry experts from TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance, TD Tech, Wiltech
Telecom Technology Co. Ltd and ZTE, Datang Mobile, Samsung R&D
Center and China Putian Research Institute delivered their speeches
on topics of common interests, like TD-SCDMA latest development,
network planning and optimization, terminal solutions, the path
and positioning of TD-SCDMA technology evolution, industry development
and internationalization, etc.
During the seminar, Datang Mobile held its ArenaTM Platform Release
and Community Setup Ceremony. Datang Mobile president Mr. Tang
Ruan attended the ceremony. Arena is a software solution developed
to promote the 3G value-added service and applications. The focus
of which is to improve the conformity and interoperability of
terminals and services in TD-SCDMA network. Representatives from
community members like Datang Mobile, ZTE, Tencent etc. delivered
speeches in the ceremony.
This seminar has enabled a high profile communication platform
for TD-SCDMA and the global telecom industry. The successful delivery
of this seminar further enhanced the communication and cooperation
of domestic and overseas telecom organizations. We believe these
activities can help promote TD-SCDMA technology and industry chain.
This will also have a far reaching influence on TD-SCDMA future
commercialization.
TD-SCDMA Forum is a neutral and open platform who aims to promote
TD-SCDMA industrialization and internationalization. We will continue
to accelerate the TD-SCDMA industrialization and internationalization
and facilitate its early commercialization.
