| The TD-SCDMA Forum VIP dinner party was held on Apr. 12th,
2006. This dinner party is held for the communication of government
officials and board and senior members of the Forum. Mr. Zhang
Xinsheng ,deputy director general of the Science and Technology
Department of the MII, Mr. Yu Shengduo, Mr Ni Xiaolong, Mr.
Ye Lin and Mr. Xu Peng from the Division of High Technology
Development as well as top management form board and senior
members of the Forum, like Datang, Nortel, TD Tech, Qualcoom,
Motorola, Lucent, Alcatel, Samsung, and LG attended this dinner
party.
The dinner party was chaired by Dr. Jing Wang, secretary general
of the forum. He highly appreciated the support of relevant
leaders in MII to the TD-SCDMA Forum. He said the forum would
hold this kind of activities for the board and senior members
on a regular basis, which would create a casual environment
for members to exchange ideas with the government.
In the free discussion period, representatives from the board
and senior members of the forum and attendees from MII expressed
their ideas on hot topics openly and freely. Director General
Zhang Xinsheng also collected people¡¯s views on status of TD-SCDMA
etc.
In the dinner party, Director General Zhang also granted certificate
of the forum to new senior members of the Forum, Fiberhome Technologies
Group and Infineon Technologies. Representatives from the two
new members said they were very honored to join the Forum and
expected to have more contact with other forum members. They
will abide by the constitution of the Forum and fully support
this Forum. In addition, the Forum is also a very good platform
to get more ideas from the government and other players in this
industry. They said they would like to share their experience
with others and seek cooperation opportunities.
The Forum will host similar activities and further platform
its member organizations and the government. It will help it
members to have immediate information in this industry and therefore
they can make correct decision in their operation.
