From Nov. 15th to Nov. 19th 2004, 3G World Congress& Exhibition
2004 Hong Kong was successfully held in Hong Kong Convention
& Exhibition Centre. Mr. Ling Haifeng, the secretary-general
of TD-SCDMA Forum cut the ribbon in the opening ceremony and
gave the opening speech on behalf of TD-SCDMA Forum.
As the global 3G focus, TD-SCDMA attracts a lot of concerns
from international carriers, organizations, leading telecommunications
vendors and press. At this congress, Mr. Ling made a keynote
speech of ＾Leading TD-SCDMA era, Exhibiting infinite commercial
opportunities￣ to introduce latest achievement and bright future
of TD-SCDMA:TD-SCDMA has got strong supports from Chinese government;
Its industry chain has been formed and is getting better by
and by. The industrialization of TD-SCDMA is driving along a
fast lane and its commercial products will be available in the
mid of next year. The target of TD-SCDMA Forum is to promote
the industrialization, commercialization and internationalization
of TD-SCDMA. Moreover, Mr. Ling invites more foreign vendors
to involve in R&D of TD-SCDMA, and TD-SCDMA Forum expects
more cooperation with more international organizations, R&D
institutions and investors to push TD-SCDMA industry faster.
This congress has provided a platform for international communications
and cooperations between the congress delegates and TD-SCDMA
Forum. At the booth of TD-SCDMA Forum, the secretary-general
and other staffs of TD-SCDMA Forum secretariat carefully introduced
the forum and replied the questions to congress delegates, and
the locale atmosphere is very fervor. At this exhibition, some
good news for TD-SCDMA are released, for example, COMMIT released
its new TD-SCDMA products. ADI launched new SoftFone-LCT chip
set and declared the cooperation with Datang Mobile focusing
on TD-SCDMA terminal.
