TD-SCDMA Summit Retrospect:
Milestone of TD-SCDMA Industry Kick-off
As the most influential global occasion
in TD-SCDMA industry, ¡°2003 International TD-SCDMA Summit¡±
was successfully held in August, 2003 in Beijing. Over 500
attendees attended the summit. In the initial period of TD-SCDMA
industrialization, ¡°2003 International TD-SCDMA Summit¡± built
a good communication bridge between government and corporations,
constructed an information platform for international cooperation
to promote the new 3G standard, and attracted many foreign
well-known companies to join in TD-SCMDA industry camp. Co-Operations
among companies became more frequent and effective after this
summit. Top governmental officials such as Mr. Xu Guanhua,
Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology; Mr. Lou Qinjian,
Vice Minister of Ministry of Information Industry; Mr. Zhang
Xiaoqiang, Vice Minister of National Development And Reform
Commission made important speeches on behalf of the government
to support TD-SCDMA. Hitherto, the market prospective of TD-SCDMA
became clearer and the industrialization pace of TD-SCDMA
accelerated.

2005 International TD-SCDMA Summit
Retrospect:
Promote and Embrace the Commercialization of TD-SCDMA
The 2005 International TD-SCDMA Summit was
held in April, 2005 in Beijing. Over 1000 audience attended
the summit, including the minister of Ministry of Science
and Technology (MOST), vice ministers from the National Development
and Reform Commission (NDRC), the State Asset Supervision
and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the
Ministry of Information Industry (MII), and senior officials
from Ministry of Finance, C3G Group, China Academy of Telecommunications
Research (CATR), ITU, 3GPP, CCSA etc. In the summit, the TD-SCDMA
manufacturers, for the first time, demonstrated actual TD-SCDMA
products and services. The summit clarified the doubt on whether
TD-SCDMA was commercially deployable as a 3G technology. Many
manufacturers and vendors participated in the exhibition to
demonstrate their TD-SCDMA products, devices, and services
based on TD-SCDMA. The attendees of this summit had a better
appreciation of the rapid and healthy development in TD-SCDMA,
and experienced a total new mobile life in the exhibition.
