One of the TD-SCDMA serial expert seminars was held in Yanji on Aug. 11th – 13th. Representatives from Institute of Communications Standard Research of MII, Datang, Huawei, TD TECH, UT-Starcom, Shanghai Bell Alcatel and etc. attended this seminar. Ms. Qi Lihuan, Vice President of the Forum also attended this seminar on behalf of China Unicom and exchanged her viewpoints on TD-SCDMA with other attendees.

This seminar is considered to be another important event after the TD-SCDMA standard and testing training held by the TD-SCDMA Forum. Mr. Wei Guiming, Manager of 3G TEG Office of Institute of Communications Standard Research, Mr. Xu Xiayan, Mr. Li Xing, experts from Institute of Communications Standard Research introduced to the representatives the TD-SCDMA standard, product testing, future potential in this area and etc. Representatives from different vendors also introduced their lasted TD-SCDMA R&D and future planning in this area. Discussions were also held on TD standard and testing, the TD-SCDMA commercialization as well as how to bring the advantages of the forum into full play.

The attendees highly appreciated the serial activities recently held by the Forum. These activities have greatly facilitated the communication among vendors, operators and the government. The Forum enabled a platform for information exchange as well as the problem identification and solving in the TD-SCDMA area.

Dr. Jing Wang, Secretary General of the TD-SCDMA Forum said that the TD-SCDMA Forum is one of the important forces in the TD-SCDMA development. The Forum is an open public platform. It will greatly facilitate the communication in the TD-SCDMA industry. The Forum will strive to satisfy needs and wants of its members and all vendors and operators interested in TD-SCDMA. In addition, the Forum will also provide the latest information in this field and build the Forum into the first-hand TD-SCDMA information source.
