A Cooperation Framework Agreement Was Signed between TD-SCDMA
Forum and CDMA Development Group (CDG)

On June 29th, 2005, with the unanimous agreement of the board
members of TD-SCDMA Forum, a framework agreement on cooperation
was signed between Dr. Jing Wang (Secretary General of TD-SCDMA
Forum) and Mr. Perry LaForge (Executive Director of CDMA Development
Group (CDG)) during the 6th China 3G Mobile International Summit
and Exhibition. According to the agreement, the two parties
will be cooperating in areas of technology, regulatory, standard,
marketing and public relationship, and information exchanges.
The organizations will cooperate to develop joint market opportunities
for CDMA2000? TD-SCDMA technologies worldwide.
The two parties will cooperate in areas such as strategies,
standard, technical interoperability. The parties will also
cooperate on applications and feature development to promote
the adoption of advanced 3G services in the world. In addition,
TD-SCDMA Forum and CDG will joint their efforts to promote the
roaming capabilities between TD-SCDMA and CDMA2000 systems and
collaborate on the future evolution of wireless technologies.
In the regulatory issues governing wireless communications,
TD-SCDMA Forum and CDG will promote spectrum allocation for
advanced wireless services and promote regulatory policies that
enable rapid deployment of advanced wireless services.
Moreover, the two parties will have regular major information
exchanges and keep each other informed of concerning marketing
and public relation programs and activities of mutual interest.

of our consumers,¡± said Dr. Wang Jing, Secretary-General, TD-SCDMA
Forum. ¡°Through our relationship with the CDG, we will be able

The signing of this agreement marks an important step of the
internationalization of TD-SCDMA technology and standard. We
believe that in the future, the advantages of TD-SCDMA Forum
as a neutral and public organization will be brought into full
play. This will benefit the whole TD-SCDMA industry chain and
will further facilitate the internationalization of TD-SCDMA.
