Profile of TD Forum

TD Forum's predecessor is TD-SCDMA Forum ,TD-SCDMA Forum was established in the Great Hall of the People on December 12, 2000. Among the Co-founders of the Forum were China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Datang, Huawei, Motorola, Nortel and Siemens.

Honorable chairman of the Forum is Mr. Zhou Guangzhao, former vice president of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. President of the Forum is Mr. Zhou Huan, former president of Datang Telecom Group and head of China Academy of Telecom Research (CATR).

With the support from Chinese government, our members, international telecom organizations and research institutions, TD Forum is the government endorsed organizer of the yearly China TD-SCDMA International Summit, the highest level TD-SCDMA conference globally. The Forum was admitted by the 3GPP as its MRP (Market Representative Partner) in 2005. The Forum also signed partnership agreements with major international telecom organizations, such as GSMA and CDG. The Forum now has over 400 members from more than 30 countries covering all sectors of the value chain, namely standardizationagents, operators, vendors, content providers, financial and investment organizations, research institutions, etc.

In January 2009, the TD-SCDMA Forum was renamed TD Forum.

• Briefing report for Chinese government and telecom carriers TD Forum works to meet the needs of government and telecom carriers through its a periodic report . Content of the report include a collection of industry news, bottleneck analysis, industry strategies, etc.The product will enable a better communication between government, telecom carriers and our member organizations in order to gain favorable regulatory environment.
  
  
• TD Forum Quarterly TD Forum owns a collection of latest TD-SCDMA technical and commercial developments and interviews to TD-SCDMA insiders. It serves as a platform for government, carriers, industry value chain, research institutions and investment organizations to exchange views and opinions.
  
  
• The Forum website TD Forum owns a database and a collection of TD Forum's
  products and services. It also serves as a real-time online communication platform
  for industry insiders.

TD Forum Training Platform TD Forum provides a database of professional technical training courses. TD Forum members can input their training programs into this database, and the TD Forum will help its members to promote and deliver these courses. In addition, via this platform, TD Forum members can easily find the training programs that satisfy their individual demand. Tailored training is also available.

TD Forum Media Platform Starting from 2007, TD Forum launched the TD-SCDMA Companies’ Executive Interview Series jointly with Sina.Com. These interviews conveyed to the public opinions and in-depth analysis of mainstream vendors on TD-SCDMA standard, industry R&D and their forecasts about TD-SCDMA future commercialization. These interviews were released simultaneously on Sina Tech and TD Forum website.

TD Forum HR Platform TD Forum has an human resource database, aiming to provide an alternative channel for its member organizations to post their recruitment informationand find the “right one” sooner. The TD Forum HR Platform is also a place for member organizations to increase their visibility and create positive brand image.

Conferences and Workshops Salons on TD-SCDMA and other related topics TD Forum bridges its members with the government, operators, investors and research institutions, etc. to create a win-win for all parties.

• TD-SCDMA International Summit Supported by the Chinese regulators, TD-SCDMA International Summit is China's highest-profiled global summit focused on TD-SCDMA and 3G industry. TD Forum is endorsed by Chinese government as the official organizer of this summit.

• Salons and other informal communications TD Forum hosts VIP Dinner Party, quarterly at least, to which executives from senior or board members are invited to meet with representatives from telecom regulators and carriers in a casual manner.
